The season begins on March 3 and finishes with a double-header finals with the Open league on May 5. Except for the finals, which may be played on a Thursday, all games are at 7:00 pm or 8:30 pm on Tuesday evenings in Scripps Ranch.

Draft Process

Because the league is limited to eight teams, spots are filled by a draft lottery. If your registration is received by Sunday, February 22 at 8:00 pm, you are guaranteed a spot in the draft, but you are not guaranteed a spot on a team.

New Players

All new players and any player who has not played in an Old Pros league in the last two years must attend a pre-season evaluation scrimmage to be eligible for the lottery or sub list. The scrimmage will be Tuesday, February 24 at 7:30 pm.

Attendance

The league requests that players only sign up if they are confident that they can attend at least two-thirds of the scheduled regular season games. Any player who misses two consecutive games without requesting a sub is subject to immediate substitution. Any player who misses three total games without requesting a sub is subject to immediate replacement as well as suspension from all SROP Soccer Leagues for one year.

League

• Age limit: Players must be 45 years old by March 3, 2026 or be at least 42 years old and have played previously in the SROP Masters Soccer League
• Registration deadlines: February 16 (Early Bird); February 22 at 8:00 pm (Regular)
• Registration fee includes: Team jersey, seven match schedule plus playoffs and season-end finals celebration

League Fees

All players who register for a full-time position will have their credit card charged a $35 deposit at the time of registration. If drafted onto a team, the player will be sent a link where they will need to pay the remaining balance of the registration fee prior to the first game. Any player who fails to make a payment or whose payment fails to process by 7:00 pm the day prior to the first game will be replaced immediately. Full-time applicants who are not drafted onto a team will have the option of being placed on the sub list or have their deposit refunded to the credit card used for the deposit.
